Victorville, Calif. – The High Desert Opportunity Committee has announced that Peter Guber, Chairman and CEO of the multimedia Mandalay Entertainment Group, Co-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Owner and Co-executive Chairman of NBA’s Golden State Warriors, TV commentator and best-selling author, will serve as Keynote Speaker for the 2014 High Desert Opportunity business conference.
The annual event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 16th Event Center, formerly known as the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds, in Victorville, CA. The conference’s purpose is to draw “out of the area” business owners, commercial real estate brokers, developers and site locators to the High Desert region to promote local business development.
This year’s speaker is among the most successful executives and entrepreneurs in the entertainment and communications industries. A passionate, humorous and tireless motivator and speaker, Guber dedicates himself to coaching current and future leaders about the importance of telling purposeful stories to propel their business success.
Peter Guber is Chairman of NASDAQ’s Mandalay Digital Media, Chairman of Mandalay Sports Media, and Chairman of Dick Clark Productions, which produces such perennial hits as the Golden Globes, American Music Awards and So You think You Can Dance. He is an Entertainment and Media Analyst for Fox Business News and a full professor at UCLA. Prior to Mandalay, Guber was Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Chairman and CEO of Polygram Entertainment, Co-founder of Casablanca Record & Filmworks and President of Columbia Pictures.
